On December 15, 2017 Youth 4 Vets and SW WA LULAC Council 47013 co-hosted a dinner and auction fundraiser in Vancouver, Washington to help raise funds to bring much needed supplies to the residents of Corozal, Puerto Rico.
We are excited to announce becuase of your generous donations, we raised almost $7000.00 for the small mountain town of Corozal, Puerto Rico.
Thanks to our community for their generous donations to our Boots on the ground for Puerto Rico fundraiser, these much needed supplies were personally distributed to 78 families who are recovering from Hurricane Maria in Corozal, Puerto Rico. A representative from our non-profit traveled to Corozal, Puerto Rico January 1st-January 13th, 2018 and worked in conjunction with two other non-profits to personally distribute these much needed supplies to the residents of Corozal, Puerto Rico.
A special thank you to the Coalicion Corozaleña de Prevention y Educacion of and Steel City Mission Group from New Wilmington, PA as well as city of Corozal for their help in organizing, sorting, and helping distribute the much needed supplies to the residents.

As we bring our fundraiser to a close, we must not forget that there is still help needed on the island. Many residents are still without electricity and fresh running water Many homes have been destroyed and many people are still without the basic necessities.
We are excited to announce that going forward our organization Youth 4 Vets will be partnering with a local veteran founded non-profit PNW for Puerto Rico Relief who is dedicated to continue helping Puerto Rico recover from this devastating disaster for the next three years. We are looking forward to collaborating with them during the year on upcoming projects as well as continuing to help local veterans, their families, and military organizations in and around SW Washington.
